Hi, I enjoy reading your blog. I used to teach too, but left the service after 8 years for New Zealand and picked up bento-ing from there. Schools in NZ have no canteen and the children have to bring their own lunches (since school hours are from 9am to 3pm). And I have this Just Bento book too, but am just not able to find Hippomum's book at Popular. I look forward to seeing more of your posts! Take care.
ReplyDeleteHi Hui Kheng,
DeleteThanks for visiting my blog. :D
If you are still in Sg, you should be able to get a copy of Hippomum's book at Kinokuniya, Ngee Ann City.
I wont be doing as much bento now as my kids will be enjoying their year end school holidays as from tomorrow onwards. School will only start in Jan 2013. That's like 8 weeks of break for me. :D
Hi, I managed to get the book from an online bookstore in Taiwan. My, they have a wide variety of books and delivery was very prompt! I bought another one on making charaben too. But I seldom do charabens, since my children don't bring lunchboxes to school here (their kindergartens provide tea) and my husband prefers 'feature-less' bentos. Still, it's nice to just look at the beautiful lunchboxes.
